Job Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications according to prescriptionsLabel, package, and store medications in compliance with pharmacy regulationsVerify prescription information and assist in ensuring accuracyMaintain drug inventory by ordering, stocking, and conducting routine checks
- Provide assistance to customers by answering medication-related questionsHelp manage and process insurance claims and billing for prescriptionsAssist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environmentEducate patients on proper medication storage and usageTrack and manage medication expiration dates to ensure safety and complianceWork collaboratively with pharmacy staff and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient careMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
- Valid pharmacy technician certification (CPh
- T) or state-specific certification
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is a plus
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical terminology and medication use
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
