Home Health Aide Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.

• Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.

• Monitor and record clients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and temperature.

• Administer medications as prescribed and assist with basic health care tasks.

• Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.

• Accompany clients to medical appointments and assist with mobility and transfers.

• Observe and report any changes in clients' health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program.

• Current certification as a Home Health Aide.

• CPR and First Aid certification.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and transferring clients.
