Job Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and grooming
- Take and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of a nurse or physician
- Assist in medical procedures, including setting up equipment and preparing patients
- Maintain patient records and document all care provided in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
- Transport patients to and from various areas of the facility, including examinations or treatment areas
- Assist with maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, including ensuring that rooms and equipment are sanitized
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care
Job Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician (PCT) training program or a nursing assistant certification is preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, especially in a hospital or clinical environment, is a plus
- Applicants should feel at ease working in a hectic, patient-centered setting
- Certain certifications (such CPR or First Aid) could be necessary depending on the area

Salary Range
