Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing, while promoting independence and maintaining their dignity.

• Monitoring patient's vital signs and reporting any changes to the RN or LPN.

• Recording patient information accurately in charts and reports.

• Assisting with medical procedures, including administering medications and changing dressings.

• Providing emotional support to patients and their families.

• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for our patients.

• Assisting in preparing and serving meals, and helping patients with their nutritional needs.

• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, including making beds, cleaning rooms, and assisting with laundry.

• Engaging in meaningful interactions with patients, offering emotional support and companionship to promote their well-being.

• Participating in ongoing training and educational opportunities to stay current with best practices in nursing care.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in [state/region].

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

• Previous experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.
