Prep Cook Job Description
As a Prep Cook, you'll be the backbone of our food preparation process, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped, organized, and ready for cooking. Job Responsibilities
Wash, peel, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredientsMeasure and mix ingredients according to the recipes and specifications
Prepare sauces, dressings, and other condiments as requested by the chef
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of prep stations and kitchen tools
Assist with storing and labeling ingredients to guarantee freshness and compliance with health requirements
Maintain inventory and alert the chef or kitchen manager of any shortfalls or required supplies
Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to guarantee safe food handling practices
Help cooks and other kitchen personnel during peak hours by delivering prepared materials swiftly and efficiently
Assist with dishwashing and other activities as needed to keep the kitchen flowing
Stay organized and proactive, ensuring that prep work is completed ahead of time for busy service hours
Job Qualifications
Previous experience as a prep cook or in a kitchen setting is preferred, but not required
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment
Ability to follow directions and recipes accurately
Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and work in a hot kitchen environment
A passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field

Salary Range
