Production Manager Job Description
As a Production Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You'll be responsible for managing production schedules, optimizing workflows, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise and manage the production team to ensure efficient and timely production of goods
Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met while maximizing efficiency
Monitor production processes and adjust schedules or processes as needed to minimize downtime and delays
Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize interruptions and ensure optimal performance
Ensure adherence to quality standards and resolve any production-related quality issues promptly
Collaborate with other departments such as supply chain, engineering, and quality control to ensure smooth operations
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all employees
Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
Prepare and maintain production reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards
Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business management, or a related field
Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and safety standards
Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and resource planning
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to analyze data and generate reports for management review
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software

Salary Range
