Production Manager Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the production team to ensure efficient and timely production of goods
• Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met while maximizing efficiency
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules or processes as needed to minimize downtime and delays
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment to minimize interruptions and ensure optimal performance
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and resolve any production-related quality issues promptly
• Collaborate with other departments such as supply chain, engineering, and quality control to ensure smooth operations
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for all employees
• Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
• Prepare and maintain production reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of production processes, machinery, and safety standards
• Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and resource planning
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and generate reports for management review
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and production management software

Salary Range
