Job Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research using various online and offline resources to support attorneys in case preparation and analysis.
- Prepare summaries, drafts, contracts, and other legal documents according to established guidelines.
- Review legal documents and ensure accuracy.
- Assist attorneys in organizing and managing case files, including maintaining document databases and electronic records.
- Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists, and coordinating logistics for court appearances.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other legal personnel.
- Take part in meetings to discuss case developments.
- Assist in tracking billable hours and expenses related to cases for accurate client billing.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and case information.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, a related field, or equivalent certification from an accredited paralegal program.
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is preferred.
- Notary public certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures;
- Ability to conduct legal research efficiently;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong understanding of legal research methods and resources.
- Proficiency in using legal research databases and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy with experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);
