Paralegal Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth legal research using various online and offline resources to support attorneys in case preparation and analysis.

• Prepare summaries, drafts, contracts, and other legal documents according to established guidelines.

• Review legal documents and ensure accuracy.

• Assist attorneys in organizing and managing case files, including maintaining document databases and electronic records.

• Assist with trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits and witness lists, and coordinating logistics for court appearances.

• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other legal personnel.

• Take part in meetings to discuss case developments.

• Assist in tracking billable hours and expenses related to cases for accurate client billing.

• Maintain strict confidentiality of all client and case information.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, a related field, or equivalent certification from an accredited paralegal program.

• Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant is preferred.

• Notary public certification is preferred.

• Knowledge of legal terminology, court rules, and procedures;

• Ability to conduct legal research efficiently;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Strong understanding of legal research methods and resources.

• Proficiency in using legal research databases and software.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Computer literacy with experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook);

Salary Range
