Job Responsibilities
- Patrol designated areas to maintain public safety and deter crime
- Respond to emergency calls and occurrences by offering necessary response and support
- Enforce all municipal, state, and federal laws, including traffic and criminal legislation
- Conduct investigations, collect evidence, and create detailed reports for judicial actions
- Make arrests, issue citations, and serve warrants, if needed
- Interact with community members to foster healthy connections and address concerns
- Testify in court and collaborate with attorneys, investigators, and other law enforcement organizations
- Participate in training programs and keep up with legal advances and law enforcement strategies
- Use and maintain law enforcement equipment, such as cars, radios, and firearms
- Follow department policies and maintain ethical standards at all times
- Assist in the coordination and execution of public safety initiatives and community programs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or a related field preferred
- Completion of a law enforcement academy or similar police training program
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass physical fitness and psychological evaluations
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, criminal law, and constitutional rights
- No criminal history or history of drug use
- Commitment to community service and public safety

- Ability to de-escalate potentially dangerous or volatile situations
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform demanding tasks, such as chasing suspects or lifting heavy objects

Salary Range
The salary for this position typically ranges from $45,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
