Nanny Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times

• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities to encourage learning and creativity

• Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for the children

• Manage daily routines, including nap times, playtime, and school runs

• Light housekeeping related to the children, including tidying up after meals and play

• Communicate with parents about children's progress, activities, and any concerns

• Assist with homework or learning activities as needed

• Create a nurturing, positive, and respectful environment for the children

• Handle emergencies calmly and follow established protocols for safety

• Provide emotional support and guidance to help children develop social and emotional skills

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional childcare training or certifications (CPR, First Aid) are a must

• Proven experience as a nanny or in a similar childcare role

• Strong understanding of child development and safety practices

• Comfortable with light household duties related to childcare

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to assist with school pick-up/drop-off

• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

• Background check clearance is required

• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

• Ability to create a safe, fun, and educational environment

• First aid and CPR certification (preferred but not required)

Salary Range

The salary for this position ranges from $30,000 to $45,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to the base salary, you may also be eligible for additional benefits, including paid time off, health reimbursement arrangement (HRA), and performance-based bonuses.
