Business Systems Analyst Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departments and stakeholders to understand business needs and identify areas for improvement.

• Gather requirements, create functional specifications, and design solutions that meet business objectives.

• Develop and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.

• Evaluate existing systems and make recommendations for enhancements or replacements.

• Develop detailed system specifications, including workflows, data models, and user interface designs.

• Develop test cases and conduct testing to ensure systems meet requirements and are free of defects.

• Assist in managing system changes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• Solid problem-solving abilities for system troubleshooting and solution proposals.

• Data analysis skills to derive insights and create data-driven reports.

• Change management knowledge to facilitate the adoption of new systems.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python is a plus.
