Frequently asked questions
Great council members are passionate, collaborative, and eager to make a real impact. We're looking for individuals who use Gusto regularly and understand how the platform supports their small business or accounting practice. Ideal members are trusted voices in their industries, able to share honest feedback and advocate for the needs of their peers. They bring diverse ideas and real-world experience to the table, have a strong interest in technology, and enjoy working with others to create better solutions for everyone.
Being part of a Gusto advisory council is about more than sharing feedback—it’s about leading with your voice and shaping the future. As a member, your insights directly impact Gusto’s product roadmap, helping us build tools that truly support small businesses and accountants. You’ll connect with Gusto leadership and other industry leaders at two in-person summits each year, and stay engaged through quarterly virtual meetings—along with ongoing collaboration opportunities like workshops and brainstorming sessions. Council members also act as ambassadors, sharing their expertise in webinars, and joining conversations on social media and at industry events.
Council members commit to a two-year term. During this time, you’ll attend two in-person, multi-day summits—one each year—to collaborate with fellow members and Gusto leadership. You’ll also join one virtual meeting per quarter to share feedback and stay connected. Between meetings, you may be invited to participate in activities like surveys, interviews, and co-creating content for Gusto’s blog, webinars, or other platforms.
