I’m excited to share that Tomer Cohen is joining the Gusto Board of Directors.
Tomer is the Chief Product Officer at LinkedIn, where he’s responsible for building and creating LinkedIn’s products and experiences. In this role, he spends a lot of time understanding the pain points of businesses (especially SMBs), and he’s helped scale a multi-product platform that impacts millions of businesses and hundreds of millions of people. Tomer was also the first AI product leader at LinkedIn and teaches AI for product and business leaders at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
We’re on a multi-decade journey to build Gusto to its full potential. Tomer aligns with our Values, cares deeply about our Mission, and will be bringing to Gusto’s Board the experience of solving real customer pain at tremendous scale.
Tomer is joining the board in a year of significant growth and innovation at Gusto. We’ve introduced new global EOR capabilities to grow talent pools, augmented our embedded fintech offerings, and extended the reach of Gusto’s people platform—both in terms of the number of customers we serve and the amount of payroll we process.
Scaling the Impact of Gusto’s People Platform
Gusto is on a mission to create a world where work empowers a better life. That means we’re more than just a tool businesses use. We’re an advocate and an advisor they trust. Small-and-medium-sized businesses need partners who are committed to their success. Our People Platform exists to level the playing field and unlock opportunities by addressing the most important challenges that employers and their teams face. Hundreds of thousands of businesses use Gusto’s people platform to hire, pay, insure, and support their teams—from modern payroll and benefits to global hiring offerings to financial health services and expert HR advice.
Tomer is joining Gusto at an exciting time. Gusto serves over 300,000+ businesses nationwide. We announced a new embedded fintech partnership with Chase Payments Solutions to power payroll for its many small business customers. We teamed up with Remote to enable small businesses to pay employees across the world, beginning in Canada. And we’re exploring new ways to use AI to make entrepreneurs’ lives easier — from the prevention and faster resolution of tax notices to generating job posts. And we continue to add world-class product leaders to the team, like Mike Tria and Mike Cieri, who are committed to solving meaningful problems at scale on behalf of the businesses we serve.
I’m thrilled to have Tomer join our board during this next stage of Gusto’s growth. And I’m excited for the whole Gusto team to continue the important work of helping SMBs.
With Gusto,
Josh Reeves, CEO and co-founder
