Meet your benefits renewal advisor

Renewing your team’s benefits can feel overwhelming, but when you’re with Gusto, you never have to navigate the process by yourself. We know how important clear communication and easy access to support resources are during the benefits renewal process. We are excited to announce that every business owner who uses Gusto for Health Insurance gets a dedicated benefits advisor to guide them across every step. 

These advisor “contact cards” make it easy to know exactly who your advisor is and how to reach them – this means no confusion, and no delays. Having direct access means you get answers fast and expert advice on all things health insurance whenever you need it, so you can focus on running your business with confidence knowing your employee’s benefits are in good hands. 

At Gusto, our goal is to make the benefits renewal process as straightforward and stress-free as possible by connecting you with a benefits expert every step of the way. 

A more fulfilling fulfillment process

Getting health insurance coverage isn’t just about choosing a plan – it’s about making sure that selection gets processed quickly and accurately over to the carrier behind the scenes. That’s where fulfillment comes in. Here’s a couple of exciting features on how we’ve improved the fulfillment process so your employees (and you) experience fewer delays to activating care. 

  • Automated Enrollments (currently supporting Anthem, UHC, Oxford): We’ve developed new APIs powered automation that eliminate the need for time-consuming manual submissions of key information. More automation => less errors => your employee’s benefits get activated faster!
  • QWR (Quarterly Wage Reports) Annotations: QWRs are a crucial part of the fulfillment process, but meeting each carrier’s requirements can really slow things down. QWR annotations does away with tedious, manual PDF editing/formatting and replaces it with a more streamlined auto-formatting solution – reducing delays and helping your team get coverage faster. 

Easier renewals with HSA by default

When you pick or renew a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) for your team, we’ll automatically set up a Health Savings Account (HSA) too – but don’t worry, you can opt out during the selection process if you don’t want it. This takes one more thing off your plate during renewal so you can focus on running your business. 

Since HSAs only work with HDHPs, turning them on by default means you won’t miss this smart combo—helping you offer benefits that actually work for your employees without extra hassle. It’s an easy way to support your team’s health and financial wellness while keeping your benefits simple and cost-effective. We designed this to make your renewal smoother and smarter, because we know every minute counts for small business owners like you.
