Smarter tools & enhanced guidance
A trusted advisor to guide you through renewals

When it’s time for your renewal, here is what you can expect:
Benefits renewals can be overwhelming—but now, you don’t have to go it alone. Every Gusto Benefits customer now has a dedicated, licensed advisor to guide you through coverage decisions with care and clarity. Your advisor will help you find plans that fit your budget and your team’s unique needs.
- Three months before your renewal, your dedicated advisor will personally reach out to help you get started.
- COMING SOON – When you log into Gusto and head to your renewal, you’ll see your advisor’s name and contact info right in the platform, ready when you need them.
- Need to talk through options? Your advisor is available for calls daily and always returns messages within one business day.
- Prefer to schedule time? Advisors typically have availability within 2–3 business days for one-on-one calls.
Whether you have questions or just want guidance, your advisor is here to help you make confident, informed decisions.
A smoother enrollment experience for your team

We’ve modernized the employee enrollment experience to make it easier and more intuitive, especially on mobile. Updates include:
- Easy-to-read plan cards so employees can understand coverage and costs at a glace
- Clearer enrollment to-dos with built-in deadlines
- Streamlined waiver forms that eliminate unnecessary questions
- Better guidance for both open enrollment and new hires
The result? Fewer headaches, fewer drop-offs, and more confident enrollments. Your team will get to experience the magic next time they go through enrollment.
Fewer forms, fewer errors
Submitting carrier paperwork manually can slow things down—and it’s the top source of administrative errors. Our new automations with UnitedHealthcare, Oxford, and Anthem help ensure your team’s benefits are delivered accurately and on time. Less paperwork, more peace of mind.
More carriers, more choice
We’ve added even more carriers to our already robust network of over 100 partners. That means more affordable, high-quality plans for your team, no matter where you’re located. With plans available in all 50 states, it’s just one more way Gusto makes it easier to find the right benefits for your unique team’s needs. Benefits education — demystifying your options
Which benefits are right for your business?
From health insurance and HRAs to Safe Harbor 401(k)s, choosing the right benefits for your team can feel complex. That’s why we created a guide that breaks it all down — and shows which options tend to work best for different types of small businesses. If you’re not sure where to start, this is the place.
Small businesses, big wins
How Lollipop Dental grew with Gusto Benefits
When Dr. Mary Pham set out to grow her pediatric dental practice, she knew she needed benefits— without the complexity of working with a third-party broker. With Gusto’s all-in-one platform, her team was able to:
- Easily compare and enroll in the perfect-fit health insurance
- Simplify—managing benefits and payroll in one, intuitive platform
- Cost-effectively attract and retain talent
From one office with 3 employees to seven offices and a growing team of 83, benefits have been key to her success.
Stay ahead, stay compliant
State retirement mandates are on the rise
Many states now require businesses to offer a retirement savings plan — either through the state’s program or a 401(k). Failure to comply could result in penalties of up to $750 per employee. The good news? We’ll help you understand the rules in your state and choose the best option for your business.
See your state’s requirements.
That’s a wrap! We’d love to hear your thoughts on the inaugural edition of The Gusto Benefits Brief.
Stay tuned. We’ll be back in September with our second edition.
