Basically, it’s your call entirely whether or not you decide to allow employees to earn PTO while already on vacation. But whatever you decide, you need to stick with your decision regardless of the type of leave you offer.
Here’s an example:
Let’s say your employee takes FMLA leave to bond with a new baby, care for sick family members, or look after themselves. If you already allow people to continue accruing PTO while taking vacation leave, then you also need to allow employees to continue earning PTO while on FMLA leave.
