Our support team threw together a fun holiday video as a token of appreciation to all our amazing customers. Happy New Year!

2013 has been a wonderful ride. In August we announced we were processing $100 million in annual payroll and just a few short months later we’re now processing more than $350 million per year! Small businesses and startups have been flocking to Gusto because of our new approach to payroll.

We launched our service with support for business owners in California, and over the past year we’ve expanded to Texas, Florida, Washington, New York, Illinois, and Colorado, with more states to launch soon. Our team has been growing and we moved to a bigger office (oh yes, we’re still hiring too).

Our Customers

From flower shops to bike shops to auto shops and everything in between, we love our customers and they’ve shown us a lot of love too. We’re here to serve you!

New Integrations

We launched the first modern payroll API that seamlessly connects Gusto to other popular business applications like FreshBooks, Xero, When I Work, Deputy, Nimble Schedule, and Namely. More than a dozen other software partners have committed to the platform, including: Expensify, Bench, BackOps, and many others.

Our 5 Favorite Features of 2013

1. Bonus payrolls

Give your employees a bonus without having to deal with all of the messy complexities of calculating taxes.

2. Employee self-onboarding

Invite your employees by email to securely complete their new employee “paperwork” like entering their personal details, bank account information, and withholdings.

3. Auto-pilot payroll

It’s truly set-and-forget payroll—if all your employees are salaried and on direct deposit, payroll will run automatically every pay period. No need to log in or push any buttons.

4. Pay stub notifications

Getting paid should be a delightful experience! That’s why we want to reimagine the way employees get paid.

5. Contractor support

Pay your independent contractors with the same system you use to run payroll. They’ll be happy to get paid by direct deposit and get their 1099s automatically at the end of the year.

BONUS: Gusto Giving

This week we announced Gusto Giving, a feature that makes it easy for employees to donate to nonprofit organizations directly from their paycheck.

What is your favorite Gusto feature? Tell us in the comments before the clock strikes midnight 2013 and we’ll send you a t-shirt and some Gusto swag!
