Equal pay, every day
Tuesday, March 15, 2022 marked Equal Pay Day this year. The National Committee on Pay Equity states:
“This date symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year.”
Pay equity isn’t just important because it’s the law. Pay equity is a way to build loyalty and trust between employers and their teams. When employees are treated fairly, they are more likely to feel happy with their work—and as we’ve seen time and again, happy employees perform better. For an overview of pay equity, why it’s important for business success, and an easy-to-use table of pay equity laws in each state, click here.
