How to build (and scale) an employee recognition program

Employee recognition can look like anything from a high-five after closing a deal to a tiered rewards system for hitting company goals—but the value of celebrating your team and their wins with consistency is undeniable. According to Gallup, companies with highly-engaged employees report:

  • 59% less turnover
  • 41% reduction in absenteeism
  • 21% greater profitability

If you’re looking to build an employee recognition program that can scale with your team as it grows, our partners at Bonusly have four steps for you, plus a few tips to help make it happen. Read more here.

Equal pay, every day

Tuesday, March 15, 2022 marked Equal Pay Day this year. The National Committee on Pay Equity states:

“This date symbolizes how far into the year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year.”

Pay equity isn’t just important because it’s the law. Pay equity is a way to build loyalty and trust between employers and their teams. When employees are treated fairly, they are more likely to feel happy with their work—and as we’ve seen time and again, happy employees perform better. Whether or not you have been approached by an auditor, having a proactive plan and organized records will ensure you never have to sweat it, if or when they do reach out. Our partners at Bench created a handy guide to help ensure your business is prepared for a tax audit. Check it out here.
