2024’s Economy Lays the Groundwork for a Steady 2025

As Congress heads into negotiations over the next few weeks for pandemic relief, Gusto is advocating that Congress prioritize the needs of small businesses and the critical condition they are in as the country goes back into lockdown.
On July 22, Gusto sent a letter to Congress urging more small business relief, specifically for resources to help minority-owned businesses, sole proprietorships, and those that have fewer than 50 employees.
Gusto also urges Congress to simplify the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), create automatic forgiveness for the smallest businesses, expand tax credits and stimulus to both small businesses and individuals, and support access to capital and financial health tools to help small businesses across the country weather the pandemic.
