Gusto Joins Small Business Majority in Supporting a Path Forward on Build Back Better Plan
On January 24, 2022, Gusto joined the Small Business Majority and twelve other organizations in sending a letter to President Biden, Senate Majority Leader Schumer, and Senator Manchin to urge support for a path forward on the Build Back Better plan (BBB).
The letter urges the White House and congressional leaders to reignite negotiations surrounding the BBB package. Small businesses continue to struggle on their road to recovery, and they need access to critical benefits and funding sources that will bolster their businesses and contribute to a strong workforce. The BBB package includes numerous provisions that would provide much-needed assistance for the small business ecosystem, including access to affordable healthcare and childcare, paid family and medical leave, funding for programs to support underserved entrepreneurs, and tax provisions that would level the playing field on taxes, which would benefit the small business ecosystem.
