Job Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups based on customer requests and operational priorities.
- Monitor and track the status of deliveries, providing real-time updates to clients and management.
- Utilize GPS and routing software to optimize delivery routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to address issues, delays, or emergencies, ensuring swift resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery logs, and customer interactions.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure vehicles are serviced and operational.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, providing solutions and maintaining satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Assist in training new dispatch staff and drivers on protocols and best practices.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic changes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or transportation is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role.
- Proficiency with dispatch and routing software systems.
- Strong understanding of local and regional geography.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range
