Hey, Accountants! You Can Now Refer Clients Directly to Gusto

At Gusto, we understand that when it comes to accounting, there’s no such thing as “one size fits all.” For CPAs, client relationships and service offerings vary greatly, and payroll is no exception.

Introduce your clients to payroll they’ll actually love.

While payroll is a service many accountants manage completely on behalf of their clients, others prefer to simply point clients in the direction of a provider that they know and trust.

With that in mind, we’re excited to announce the Gusto accountant referral program. Now, the thousands of accountants we work with have the flexibility to manage client payroll completely through Gusto, or to simply refer their clients to Gusto and let us take care of the rest!

Read on for more details on how Gusto referrals can work for you and your firm.

Referring clients to Gusto

When partners log in to their dashboard to add a new client, now they can choose whether to fully manage the client’s payroll, or refer them to Gusto directly.

If they choose to refer, the accountant simply adds in their client’s details, and we take it from there! We’ll send the client an email letting them know that their accountant thinks Gusto is a good fit, follow up with them directly to give them a tour, and help them find payroll love of their own.

Perks of referring clients

Whenever we build a new feature at Gusto, our goal is to make people’s lives easier. With this referral capability, our partners can now decide exactly how they’d like to work with us, giving them the freedom and flexibility to manage their clients in a way that makes the most sense for their business.
