On December 16, 2020, the Page 30 Coalition called on Congress to pass the Economic Justice Act to ensure that historically marginalized and subjugated communities receive adequate investments and financial relief to recover from the economic crisis.
Traditionally underserved populations are disproportionately affected by economic crises, and the pandemic has revealed the devastation of persistent economic policies that favor prejudice and discrimination. The Economic Justice Act outlines eleven initiatives that would invest over $440 billion to address systemic racism and historic underinvestment in communities of color over the next several years.
