Many insurance plans, including all of the plans available through Gusto, automatically allow dependents on the plan. As an employer you have no obligation to contribute to dependent premiums. So if you choose a health insurance plan with dependent coverage you do not have to make contributions towards it, even if you make contributions towards your employees’ coverage.Updated October 16, 2017
