Summary of Elliott's Oyster House
Consistently awarded honors as one of the top oyster restaurants in the world, Elliott’s Oyster House has been serving freshly caught seafood to locals and tourists alike for more than 30 years. With its outdoor deck overlooking Elliott Bay, there’s hardly a better spot to enjoy a waterfront lunch or sunset, perhaps after visiting the Seattle Aquarium or Odyssey Maritime Center, or before boarding the ferry to Bainbridge Island. If the weather’s not great or the patio is too crowded, the restaurant’s seafaring interior is nicely done in wood and copper, and be sure to check out the actual oyster bar, which stretches 21 feet. Changing varieties of oysters appear on the menu; try the sweet Olympia, the mild Kumamoto, or the bolder Pacific. Choose oyster stew made with bacon and cream or max out your credit card on one of the seafood towers. Loads of wines by the glass make decisions easy. Entrees include a hot seafood Caesar salad, alder-planked wild King salmon and Alaskan King crab. Elliott’s Oyster House also serves more Dungeness crab than any other restaurant in Seattle; have it steamed, grilled or chilled. Non-fish eaters will find pasta and steaks, too. Anyone who can still pack more in won’t be disappointed by the fried chocolate truffles sundae.
