NEW YORK ROCKS!
"New York is an amazing place to go for adventure. There are many places and things to see. Time Square alone is spectacular and totally entertaining. Whether winter, when it's freezing, or summer, when its extremely hot, you will be able to enjoy and relax. Maybe a stroll in Central park or even a taxi ride, you will totally enjoy New York!

Nothing Beats the Big Apple
"New York lives up to everyone's expectations. You can walk around Central Park, admire the skyscrapers and window shop without spending a dime. Or, if you're more inclined, spend a night on the town and see a Broadway play! I will definately be returning to New York.

NY City Hot Dog Stand Gourmet tour
"Here's a unique way to see and experience the grandeur of New York City... take a walking tour of the town and check out all the hot dog stands along the way. You'll be surprised to find that there is such a multitude of hot dog vendors... and so many hot dog choices in the "Big Apple". The treats range from a traditional offering of sauerkraut, or perhaps relish, to the many different interpretations of chili or red onions (sweet? spicy? tangy?). Many vendors have truly made the hot dog their own, and have some amazing interpretations on the old favorite. While you're at it... make sure you try the NYC "Hot Sausage", an oversized, over-spiced hot dog with some real bite of it's own.

A New Yorker's New York
"Why not try to see NY as a New Yorker does? The best way is certainly on foot, given the right weather conditions. Start your walking tour of NYC down in the Chinatown area. Great food, interesting shops. You can walk through neighboring "Little Italy" for cappuccino and pastry. Then head uptown, using one of the main thoroughfares like Broadway. Lots of great bargainhunting. A nice place to stop is Canal Street, with unique clothing and jewelry stores. Haggle for the best price, and you'll be shocked at how well you can do. Head uptown and stop off in the midtown areas around 34th street and then 42nd Street. The Times Square section is great now, as is the Grand Central area. Don't forget to sample the food on the way, from great cafes and restaurants to super sidewalk stands and venues. Enjoy!

I Love New York!
"We've been coming to New York City for several years now....in January. Not the ideal time for a visit, I know. We miss all the gorgeous windows dressed up in their holiday splendor, we miss the lovely new buds and foliage that Spring brings, we miss the gorgeous crispness and colors of autumn. What we do get are bone-chilling wind gusts as we travel, trussed up like the Michelin Man in our layers upon layers, through the sodden streets of the city while the wind howls about us at top-speed. Having said this, I love the city in January. If you happen to hit restaurant week (about the third week of January) you can find some terrific eats for a good price. The line at the TKTS booth is more manageable, and you can find seats at some of the peak-season-sold-out shows, too. If you take any tours, you may just be the only one partaking and thus get an incredible one-on-one learning experience. And for some odd reason I find the city in January, shrouded in overcast grey and occasional drizzle, indescribably romantic. New York is an incredible place for walking. We tend to stay in the Times Square area, and I will simply point myself in a direction (north, south, east or west?) armed with a discreet map and head out. You could choose one of a myriad of neighborhoods in Manhattan alone and spend an entire day there exploring. We've taken two food tours (Greenwich Village and Chelsea Market) and loved both. We have also enjoyed two Patriot Tours (our group, including our tour guide, totaled three - a completely amazing and personalized tour through New York in an earlier time), and this year I believe I will focus on shopping (yes, they offer tours for this as well). I'd definitely count New York as a must-see. I can't wait to get back!
