"The New Orleans Museum of Art is a wonderful New Orleans attraction. It allows Tulane University students free admission and has a wide variety of exhibits as well as an interesting permanent collection that's always worth a stroll. However, my favorite part of this museum is actually part of City park and is free to the public: the sculpture garden. A rather large collection of ~20-30 pieces ranging from classical to whimsical. It's a lovely way to spend an afternoon and get a little stroll out in the sunshine. The garden even has a sculpture in the middle of it's pond. One of my favorite pieces is an homage to the trees lining parade routes post Mardi Gras: giant strands of beads hanging from the branches of a live oak."
