Disney’s Coronado Springs beckons with the call of adventure and fun from the moment you set eyes on it. The Spanish-themed exterior in shades of peach and pink with pool-blue accents features arched passageways, colorful towers and a dome as its centerpiece. Set on a pristine lake, Coronado Springs features the best of both Spanish elegance and New World flair. The palatial quality of the lobby is contrasted by gently arched wood beams overhead that run the length of the interior. Underneath the dome sits a Spanish-style fountain, gently bubbling as the sunlight coming in from above reflects off the water. Guest rooms feature a distinctly Southwestern flair, from arched doorways to the elegantly carved headboards and handcrafted furniture. The vibrantly muted color schemes of the rooms range from warm corals and gentle reds to vintage greens and creams. If the decor of this unique Disney resort doesn’t get you ready to explore in the footsteps of Coronado, the activities will! The Dig Site pool incorporates an exotic Mayan theme; adventurous guests can take a waterslide through gentle jungle foliage or simply lounge on the steps of an ancient pyramid. And because Coronado Springs sits on a lake, guests can enjoy boating and kayaking at this Disney gem.

"Grounds were nice, but the rooms were mediocre, Howard Johnson's in a Disney wrapper. It was a business trip so I didn't pay for it, or I'd have been very sad that I had stayed there."

Disney Coronado Springs

"This is one of the Disney properties I would not recommend at all. The furnishings are poor and the layout is too spread out. In order to get to anything in this hotel, you have several options: a long walk, a drive, or a Disney shuttle bus. In order to get to the rooms you have to enter your room key in order to raise the gate. The room swipe was clearly meant for a mans longer arms since I had to pull the car very close to insert the car and drive the car through quickly before the gate descended 10 seconds later. The food at the restaurants was below par. It was overpriced and poorly cooked. Don’t bother with room service unless you like salami on everything, except the bucket of poor quality fried chicken. For $25 KFC is a much better bet. The service was exceptionally slow – room service took 45 minutes to arrive and the chicken was cold and the potato salad warm. The rooms are dark and painted in a faded blue. The furniture resembles oversized children’s playroom decor. Housekeeping was very sloppy. I checked in late on my arrival and had to have housekeeping come clean the tub, which was full of hair. If you must stay at a budget Disney hotel, then stay at the All Sports Hotel instead."

Interesting theming but too spread out for us!

"This was our first stay at a Disney resort. While we really loved the restaurants and pools (quiet and busy slide pool) we found we were exhausted with the amount of distance from our room to everywhere we needed to go. We had a long walk to the bus stop that seemed even longer at night with a 2 year old. Customer service was amazing but we tried another resort on our next vacation."

"We loved staying at Coronado Springs during our last Disney World vacation. The resort grounds were lush and beautiful & the pool amazing. The Pepper Market is no ordinary food court.Though rooms tend to be a bit of a walk from El Centro, there are small trams that often come around to pick people up. Also, any walk at Coronado is a pleasure because of the wonderful landscaping.I remember walking along with my family & noticing this wonderful scent in the air. I noticed a gardener doing some pruning & asked him what it was. He looked at me like I was crazy and told me it was jasmine. I confided that being from the North, I had never smelled it before. Surely, I will never forget it now.Coronado Springs is a sprawling, wonderfully relaxing resort, it’s own world within the “World.”"
