Summary of Beverly Center
Beverly Center
8500 Beverly Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90048

L.A. loves to shop, and so do its visitors, which explains why the high-end Beverly Center has been packing them in since 1982. Many sightseeing tours include a stop here; there’s even a visitors center with info on local attractions. This eight-story structure with the oft-photographed exterior escalators houses 160 shops, movie theaters and eateries. Size-zero fashionistas and their stylists trudge the shopping floors daily for cutting-edge gear at Traffic, Politix, Just Cavalli and D&G, and for staples at the likes of Armani Exchange and Dior. Add to that one of the only Bloomingdale’s in town and Macy’s separate Men’s Store, and it’s no wonder stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Drew Barrymore and Pamela Anderson shop here. Natty kids’ apparel can be found at Lacoste, and everyone will enjoy the unusual goodies at Puzzle Zoo. You can eat inside at the food court; try the delectable stuffed croissants and pastries at de Euro Café or go for Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill. On the street level, you’ll find California Pizza Kitchen and the sushi buffet Todai. If you come at Christmastime, you might get to see the notorious Hunky Santa, but any time of year, the shopping and people-watching can hardly get more quintessentially L.A. than at the Beverly Center.
